My daughter picked this up at a local St.Pete bookstore for me & said I would love the author who obviously marches to her own beat. All I know is I read this book in one afternoon at the beach.
And I'm sorry I did.
I should have saved it for a rainy night when everyone else was asleep.
Excellent!!!

Being a guy, I didn't think I'd ever be caught dead reading a romance book, but it was a rainy afternoon, and it was sitting on the counter, so I thought... "what the heck?"
Wow, did this book ever surprise me. The women may call it a romance book with a hefty dose of suspense-thriller thrown in. I'd call it one action-packed, nail-biting, thrill of a ride... (for the guys, there are fight scenes [grin]) with... yes, a relationship with an abusive alcoholic and mentally-disturbed husband, and a budding romance with the woman's saviour.
I hope my guy buddies never see this, but I have to admit that I liked this book a lot. (Just don't tell them that it's billed as a _i_romance_/i_ book.)

A book that really takes you inside on a personal level. At some point, we have all been in and out of love, grieving heartbreaks and losses. And at one point, we have all made wrong choices. The wrong choice the main character makes in this book really was a life or death choice. It makes you want to reach in and save her and toss the garbage out to the curb. Very well written, I even got my boyfriend to read it and he thought it was very good as well! Can't wait to read more of her work!
