About the Author

Vladimir Beregovoy was born in Leningrad, Russia. He is a trained zoologist whose first article about the West Siberian Laika and the Karelian Bear Dog appeared in North Dakota Outdoors. Since then, he has published popular articles about Laikas in Dog World, Full Cry, Small Farm Today and Wilderness Ways. He has also co-authored Primitive Breeds-Perfect Dogs, published by Don Hoflin Publishing in 2001.
